Hello I am Tracy Sparks,
a professional photographer based in
Manhattan, New York.
Why do I love photography? Because I find most people are like me; they hate stepping in front of a camera. But trust me when I say there are SO Many reasons to do it...
#1 Reason:
LEGACY PHOTOGRAPHY!
My daughter, also a professional photographer, approached me for photos after my second bout of breast cancer when my hair was just coming in after my last chemo treatment - this photo of myself is the result. Even though she knows that I am an introverted soul and even though I love photography, I have never liked being in front of the camera. But it was important to her so I allowed her to coax me into a photo shoot. She taught me how vital it is to have a relatable compassionate photographer for someone who hates "picture day". She also had me in tears when I saw the finished images. We created legacy photos that day when she put on my favorite music, poured me a glass of wine, got me talking about things that make me genuinely smile - forgetting it was in fact a photo shoot.
SO...invite me over! We will hang out and put on your favorite music while we chat about life, relax and laugh. I will snap a few shots of you and the fam so you can see the courageous you in a photo captured during a fun session where you will forget about the camera in no time.
